The modern Olympic Games have already undergone 110 years of development, growing far beyond the actual sport competitions. The culture and educational value embedded in the Olympics gains increasing influence in every country in the world. 2007 is the decisive year for preparing Beijing’s Olympic Games. In this year, the purpose of hosting the “Beijing International Forum on Olympic Education” is threefold: to take further steps to share in the Olympic education experiences of every country in the world; to summarize and refine Beijing’s current achievements in the field of? Olympic education; and to better map out a strategy for continuing Beijing’s Olympic education work.?
