The aim of the competition

   To interpret Humanist Olympic in the eyes of art by combining Olympic with two forms of expression, as DV and Cartoon. To facilitate deep understanding about the conception of Humanist Olympic, to promote and carry out the expansion of the idea of Humanist Olympic.

  Detailed Rules and Regulations

  1、The competition takes social culture, sports culture, and humanist spirits as main background, and encourages art creation without limits on themes. The participants should not produce their work until August 2006. All the design groups and individuals whether professional or amateur are welcome to participate into this competition, and ensure the originality of their submitted works (the works that never have been published by any other medias). The submitted works must be strictly limited in 3 minutes time, and excludes advertisements and business contents in any form, as well as any external links besides author's signature, otherwise they will be considered nullity.

   2、The participants must ensure the originality of their submitted works. The works should not pirate the third part's intellectual property rights or other rights, as well as accord with related laws of People Republic of China . The participants should make commitments to assume the obligation fully caused by the third part's claims and promise not to harm the organization of the competition.

   3、Works production: all required software and computer, video camera and other related equipments in producing process should be provided by participants themselves.

   4、Requirements of submitted works:

      a.Cartoon works: size: 640*480 Pixels; 24 pics / s

Each author can submit works more than one, and attach captures of cartoon works (size: 120*90; format: jpg; within 10k)

The participants should submit source files and SWF files of their competition works, and those who do not submit source files or whose source files are not up to the mustard will loss their qualification to be awarded.

      b.DV works: the authors must submit their accomplished works to the organization. The

memory medium could be miniDV, DVCAM, or DVD (720×576/625 line /PAL, MPEGII or

AVI data). The author's name and work's name should be signed on the medium.

   5、The participants should ensure the secrecy of their works before submit it and should not transfer their works or give the permission to the third part without the approval of the organization committee. The participants agree to assume the obligation fully caused by above requirements and ensure not to harm all parts of the competition organization. The qualification would be annulled if the submitted works were found published or presented in public before.

   6、The participants should download competition applying form and relevant materials, fill in one form for each competition works, indicate competition category and introduction of the works and attach their personal resumes and photos.

   8、The authors should add one of the following logos (choose freely) in their works, otherwise their works will be considered nullity.
 

   9、 The excellent works will be recommended, selected and finally delivered to 2007 cartoon Spring Festival evening party for presentation and appraisal.

    The first prize: 2 places (each one for DV and Cartoon),

Per RMB 8000 (before pay taxes) or prize equal in value

   The second prize: 4 places (each two for DV and Cartoon),

Per RMB 5000 (before pay taxes) or prize equal in value

   The third prize: 6 places (each three for DV and Cartoon),

   The Excellent Prize: 10 places (each five for DV and Cartoon),

   The nomination prizes: several places, the prize T.B.D
