The China Forum on the Humanities and Social Sciences, which is an important annual academic event, has been hosted for 6 years and made great impact to the humanities and social field. Beijing 2008 Olympics Forum, which is an important conference in the annual “Beijing 2008 Olympics Festival” organized by BOCOG, has been hosted for 4 times in a series by Renmin University of China and undertaken by Humanistic Olympic Studies Center. For implementing the Olympic concept of Humanities, encouraging the public participation to the Olympic Movements, coordinating every force from the society, and also for exploring the concept of the Olympic Culture in a wide range, promoting Olympics Spirit and Humanistic Concepts, Renmin University of China and BOCOG decide to co-host 2007 International Forum on 2008 Beijing Olympic Games with the theme of “Olympics: Humanistic Concepts, Social Value and Harmonious World”.

  III. Purposes:

  
   1、Based on the research award from Humanistic Olympics, to develop the concept of the Olympic Culture in a wider and deeper range, to promote the concept of Humanistic Olympics, to rich the Olympic Spirit.
  
   2、To get more advanced experiences of hosting the Olympic Game from other host countries, to discuss how to develop the social culture and economics by using the opportunity of the Olympics, to build a larger communication and interaction platform for the public who concern the preparation for the Beijing Olympic Games.

   3、To provide the intellectual support for Humanistic Concept in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and Social Value, to develop Chinese Culture in a wider range in the worldwide.
